My most memorable concert was at the Paladium in NYC 1977. My friends and I from Northport, NY went into the city.. We tuned up as usual and had a great buzz, and headed to see an awesome show.
We had seats in the balcony. The Paladium was packed and buzzin with energy and great refer..LOL..it was one BIG PARTY..!!!. Gentle Giant came on and played with all they had..and more..we were in Prog Rock Heaven!!! Around the 3rd song/tune, all of a sudden the rear speakers on the balcony were turned on during a violin solo...Holy shit, everyone in the balcony turned around with their eyes wide open...Now we were hearing true Quadrophonic...it was a real treat....Watching Gentle Giant switch from on set of instruments to another, violins to recorders to drums... just blew us away... Thank you GENTLE GIANT for all the AWESOME music and great times you guys created!!!!
