GG played at the Agora Ballroom in Columbus, Ohio in either January or February of 1975. I was there and remember it well, though I don't have the exact date. A group of five of us from Cincinnati had sent money to the box office for tickets to be held at the door, at $3.50 each. When we arrived, the box office said "Here are your tickets and your refund." Of course we said, "what refund?" Apparently tickets had not sold well and the price had been reduced to $1 advance, $2 at the door. So we got most of our money back *and* saw the show of a lifetime.

When we went inside we saw some guys playing pool, one of whom came over and asked me for change for a dollar. He turned out to be Kerry Minnear and my friends and I had a good conversation with him, including discussion of where to get a Minimoog repaired so the pitch wouldn't drift. Somewhere in Buffalo, I think it was. After the show, one of my friends asked to meet Gary Green, to which Kerry replied, "Sure, he's just a bloke like anyone else." So we went outside and shook hands with him.

My friends and I came away convinced that we'd just seen "the best band in the world." With almost 30 years of hindsight and countless other concert experiences since then, that assessment still holds up in my mind.
