- I am very sad to say that Joerg Weinert, one of the most terrific and prolific contributors to this web site, died this afternoon, peacefully in his sleep. I never met Joerg face to face, but I always enjoyed hearing from him and receiving his many scans of rare GG posters, obscure compilation album covers, and more. His name appears on this web site dozens of times. I will miss him.

- I'm starting to give the web site a new look, in preparation for adding a lot more material. (I have 500 GG-related items in my queue!) You'll see a standard header and footer beginning to appear on the pages, among other things. (And it's about time! I mean... I'm a friggin' software engineer and my own web site is held together with duct tape and twine... the shoemaker's kids always go barefoot.) More to come!

- Damon Shulman (son of Phil) has a new CD out, "A Brief Moment of Panic." There's brief info (including audio clips) at www.damonshulman.co.uk. The CD will be sold through Alucard's web site, www.gentlegiantmusic.com, but it's not there yet.
- A fan reports that he saw two Gentle Giant videos on VH1 Classics today: "Giant For A Day" and "Words From The Wise." (Thanks to Anthony Forden.)
- An article on GG is found in the current issue of New York City's weekly periodical, The Village Voice. It was prompted by DRT's recent CD and DVD releases. (Thanks to Adam Levin.)
