* NetResearch: Updates

- Last changed 14 January 2000

NetResearch focuses on general search strategies that won't go out of date. Software and Web addresses (URLs), however, frequently change. Here are some that have changed since publication.

Chapter 2, Internet Basics

Chapter 4, Choosing an Effective Starting Point

Page 44: With version 4.0, Netscape News (now part of Netscape Communicator) can now search for newsgroup names. Select "Subscribe" and click on "Search For A Group."

Chapter 6, Finding Places

Page 89: The URL http://www.aloha.com/traceroute.html has become obsolete. To find other traceroute sites, visit Yahoo and search for traceroute.
